The Pre-Purchase Home Inspection Process:

A typical home inspection takes between 2 to 3 hours, but may be longer depending on the size or the age of your house. However, we do not set maximum time limits and will spend as much time as necessary to perform a complete inspection.
We encourage all clients to attend the home inspection, if possible. You have probably toured the home and viewed it countless times online. However, this is your opportunity to get an in-depth look at your potential purchase. You can be present for the entire inspection or show up towards the end. Your home inspector will walk you through the home and summarize their findings. They can also address any of your questions or concerns at this time.
If you are unable to attend, don’t worry. All inspections include a detailed, same-day report with the inspector’s findings, photos, and recommendations. We are also available by phone or email for any follow-up items you might have – our service doesn’t end with the inspection.
Scheduling Your Home Inspection
Once you’ve found your home and a contract has been accepted, you typically enter a 3-10 day option period to conduct your home inspection. Given the competitive real estate market in Austin and Central Texas, it’s recommended to have an inspector already lined up.
